Trips

Descriptions — Estes Angler is the only dedicated fly fishing pro shop in Estes Park and we have been the leader in guided fly fishing since 1993. From beginner to expert, we custom tailor your guided trip to maximize your enjoyment and teach you the finer points of fly fishing. We typically guide in Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding area. We offer experienced, friendly and fully certified guides with excellent local knowledge and we are a fully licensed and insured outfitter. We offer 8, 6, and 4 hour guided trips, with a maximum of 3 people per guide. Departure times vary throughout the season, which runs from late March to mid November.

A maximum of 3 people per guide is our standard policy for any group size.

Private Water — We have access to private water all over Colorado where large fish are the prize. An additional access fee applies to all private water trips. Please call for rates.

Horseback — The Estes Angler also offers horseback trips into Rocky Mountain National Park’s spectacular high country. These are full day trips and vary with season. You can travel to some of the more remote destinations with an experienced guide and wrangler to do some exceptional fishing in very pristine mountain lakes and streams, as well as viewing some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Requirements—
• All trips require a 50% deposit, with balance due on completion of the trip. Estes Angler must receive any notice of cancellation at least 24 hours before a scheduled regular trip (at least 48 hours before a horseback, backpack or private water trip); otherwise, deposits are forfeited.
• You will also pay for any trout flies that you use or lose. They generally cost less than $2.00 each.
• Transportation: When possible, we ask that clients provide their own transportation. Let us know if this poses a problem so we can make other arrangements for you

Rentals — If needed, we can provide top quality rods, waders and boots for you to rent in order to maximize your comfort and enjoyment on the river. Rental rates are $15.00 with guided trip, $25.00 without a guided trip. In addition, rental fees may be deducted from the purchase of like retail goods.
